Hi my name is Bryon , I am 65 years old. I used to be addicted to porn. It started when I was in my early teens. My chains were broken in my mid 40s. I’ve spent the last 18 years grappling with how the church teaches fidelity in marriage (don’t look) and my experience of discovering that the human form, God’s pinnacle of creation is as beautiful to behold as a gorgeous sunrise or sunset or the grandeur of the mountains. It is God’s creation and beautiful to behold, without having to be labeled lust. My journey to freedom sounds very much like Pastor Bills. It has taken me 18 years of personal Bible studying to arrive at the same conclusions that are espoused in these articles. I knew what God had helped me to uncover and understand could free countless other trapped men, but I didn’t know how to lay it all out. Let alone “challenge” the status-quo (the lies). I felt called to try to change the present (broken) system of belief, the lies we have pandered to that are the stumbling stone of too many Godly men. After reading through all of articles I am encouraged. Even though the mountain is still as tall and looming before me (to change the world and free other men), there is strength in numbers. Thank you Pastor Bill and all here at mychainsaregone.org for posting your work and being a light in the darkness.
